Testimonials

Three nights away with the boys and Mr Van Strijp was the highlight of my year. Mr Van Strijp’s military knowledge and awareness of what ‘young boys need’ made for an inspirational weekend where I walked away learning so many new skills but above all a strong sense of brotherhood with my friends. He is a true leader and an inspiration to the young men of the Riverina.

Since 2017, James and Ryan have facilitated 5 Reboot programmes. Throughout these camps I have observed the ways in which James and Ryan work with these high risk young people. Their ability to build and maintain positive relationships with participants is amazing.

The activities the young people become engaged in throughout the programme are of high intensity… the support and guidance demonstrated by both James and Ryan have given these young people the strength to continue and overcome these challenges.

James was a really chill person at camp. He really helped me with mindset and how to make decisions.

Ryan Lock facilitates and mentors junior members of the community, especially in Finley when he combined his gym facility into the integral part of a struggling community. Through mentoring programmes for kids, mothers, ex-service personnel and struggling individuals, Ryan was able to build a rapport that I have not observed before.

He invested his whole life into providing programmes for the community, not to mention, Mother’s Day Run Classic and Martial Arts programmes targeting the junior members of the community.

He also got the community on a united front by offering programmes to target the mental health crisis that Finley was facing.

He devised a disabilities programme and employed individuals with limited capacity to work within the community.
